She said she could feel the head and baby’s in the ideal position and we just have to wait.

I know many first babies are late, rarely do babies born on due date, and “practice” contractions are not real contractions. But…it’s getting to the point where I want chou-chou to come out NOW!

I haven’t felt any back/side contractions for 24 hours now, there is still no bloody show (though I do see some mucousy discharge). Baby’s still kicking strong, but the frequency is noticably less. I am still very hungry all the time, and I’ve been going to the washroom a lot more since last night. There are still the “practice” contractions here and there (maybe getting a bit more frequent…)

I wonder if women do know when they are going into labor soon. I mean, aside from the obvious signs and contractions, can women somehow sense that labor is soon…I mean, while watching American Pie 2 on TV tonight, I got this sudden feeling that it might happen this weekend. Maybe it’s just me dreaming…

I started having lower abs contractions on Monday night, but the contractions went away as I downed a couple glasses of water. Then on Tuesday morning, my back started to contract. So I stayed home the entire day, waiting for things to happen, y’know, contractions, water breaking…

But by dinner time, it was obvious that the only thing I felt was baby kicking inside. There is however a weird “drilling” sensation in my pelvis area.

So, I guess we thought wrong, our chou-chou isn’t going to be a Canada-Day baby. Only 8 days left until due date, doctor’s appointment this afternoon, let’s hope the doctor will either tell me I am already starting to dilate, or that she will induce me. I really need this baby out asap! I am officially bored outta my mind!

Until then, I’ll just make sure I wear light-coloured undies…to catch the bloody show…

The kicks and shoves are becoming stronger, especially the nudges on my pelvic area. I have a feeling this chou-chou’s gonna be one long baby – I am still feeling some kicks on my ribs even though s/he’s technically “dropped”.

We went to IKEA the other night and got the $29 Billy bookshelf. Finally, we have a shelf for all the books and toys. Butters has been spending a lot of time in the nursery lately, he’s been busy checking things out, inspecting things, etc. Guess we’re not the only ones excited and anxious…

I guess I should start cleaning the house tomorrow…if only I could find the energy…

We’re now in wk-36, which means it can happen anytime in the next 4 weeks. Now, I just have to wait for the parcel Mom sent us from Hong Kong…more goodies for baby!

Just 4 more hours of work on Monday morning and I’ll be done working for the rest of the year…at least I don’t have to do anymore tutorials, product pages, blog entries….no more cPanel, Virtuozzo, Plesk, Basic Hosting, KB…

We still have to do that hospital tour and I still need to take some belly pics and stock up the freezer and pantry!! So little time…so much to do!!!

The hospital tour is scheduled for next Thursday, which means I have to find that pre-registration form ASAP!

My nesting hasn’t kicked in yet, as I still don’t feel like cleaning and scrubbing, though the house DOES desperately need major cleaning. I’ll see how I feel this weekend.

Just one more week and I’ll be off on maternity leave! Can’t wait to finally get some uninterrupted Mommy-time.

I’ll also be working on a new design for this website. The new site will be launched after the chou-chou is born.
