I never thought us mothers are discouraging fathers from parenting…but…

I guess it’s because men aren’t as good at caring for babies/kids. They, at least mine, have too much on their mind (ie. hockey game, hockey stick, skates, hockey fights, Sportsnet, TSN, etc. and oh yah, Jersey Shore) to focus on the task at hand.

It bugs me when things aren’t done a specific way… because Dads doing things the dad-way just means the past 14 months I spent figuring what the good, better and best ways are of doing these things is not time well spent!

Mommmy knows what i’m talking about.

Being a dad is the coolest thing in the world.  At times, I still pinch myself thinking is this true.. i’m really a dad?  Me ?!?  I will always remember balling my eyes out in the OR when I first heard my boy cry as the doctor pulled him out.  I’ll never forget that moment.  Then remember looking at my beautful wife thinking, “here’s the start of our family” and “i really need a smoke”

After a few weeks, all I have to say is I’m the luckiest guy in the world.  To watch how my wife takes care of my son and feeds, burps, changes diapers, sings to him etc etc, I know how lucky I am to have found this woman.  She’s amazing, especially her snoring when she sleeps.  I can hear it from downstairs when I watch TV.  I think.. “damn.. that is sooo loud, you might wake the kid up” .. haha

Every time the kid pees/poo’s, it costs us 40 cents.  So listen up kiddo, I’m keep track of how much you use.  You can pay me back with your first contract.  I’m charging interest too.
