ABOUT

Our little chou-chou is due on July 10, 2009. If all goes as planned, Chou-Chou will be born at Richmond General Hospital, fast and quick, sans epidural. Mommy is going to be pain-free with no tearing, Daddy’s going to stay in the delivery room the entire time (and not faint or disappear for yet another smoking break) and Chou-Chou is going to come out all smiley and sparkling clean.  Then a couple days later, they’re all going to go home in their new Sabaru Forester and Butters and Bobs are going to love Chou-Chou so much that they will become instant best friends…

Mommy is a technical/web content writer for a webhosting company. Mommy is also a freelance web designer who loves traveling, cooking, photography and out-of-the-box DIY projects. Voluntary work-wise, Mommy was the manager of a local youth orchestra for two years and is currently waiting for her Vancouver 2010 assignments. Mommy was born in February 1977 in Vancouver, BC.

Daddy is a senior web programmer / beer-league D-man. Daddy always brags that he can play whatever sports with Chou-chou later: tennis, soccer, football, lacrosse, hockey, etc. In fact, Daddy loves sports so much that in addition to watching and playing sports, he works in the industry too! Daddy works for a sports-stats company. Daddy was born in June 1973 in Don Mills, Ontario.

Bobs is an American Eskimo who loves to spend his days chasing balls and chewing on toys. Bobs loves going to the park. Bobs was born in October 1999.

Butters is a Shih-Tzu spends most part of his days bullying Bobs and cuddling with Mommy. Butters also loves going cruising, especially to McDick’s or Timmy Ho’s drive-thrus and to Grandma Bubbles’. Butters loves to be a part of everything, from huggies to family discussions. Butters was born in March 2007.

Our story began when Mommy, Daddy, Bobs and Butters decided it was time to expand their little family. Daddy sold his Kawasaki and got Mommy a ring. Daddy proposed to Mommy at Central Park, NYC in March 2008. They sold their one-bedroom 650 sqft. condo in Burnaby and moved into a 3-bedroom townhome in Richmond. The baby-project officially began in August 2008. On November 8, 2008, Mommy woke up at 6:45 in the morning and pee’d on the little white stick. Just to make sure that + was not a fluke or mistake…Mommy went to the doctors on November 15 and confirmed it is indeed a chou-chou. To celebrate, they went all out at Baby’s World and they traded in the Volvo S70 and got a Subaru Forester.  They still have the Saab 93 convertible, as Daddy won’t give that up.

MyChouChou.com is the story of our little chou-chou. This website was started to document our adventures from the very first+, so that some day chou-chou can read about how it all began and all the little tears and joys and memories that make him so special to Mommy and Daddy.
