And He Rolls
So the Chou-chou has finally mastered the art of rolling from back to tummy, without help from me or Jason. He’s finally figured out that he needs to extend his arm, bend his knees and arch his back all at the same time in order to roll successfully in one shot. But, the Chou-chou is not an “ambi-turner” – he can only roll left-ward, so I have to kept carrying him back to the center of the mat before he rolls off on to the carpet. He’s also getting more stable on his bum, he can sit unassisted for a few seconds. I guess that Bumbo seat was worth the $65.
Chou-chou is also getting more and more vocal. He’s making a lot of new sounds in addition to the oohs and aahs. Today, he did the “mmmm” and the “phhhhh” sounds. At first he would look at me and go “mmmm” and I thought he was trying to say “mum”. I was so happy I cried. Then I heard him make the same “mmm” sound to his bottle, his toys and Bobs. Yah…
