I am starting to wonder if we’re feeding Chou-chou too often, too much. He’s now at 3-4oz every 2-3 hours, day and night. I tried searching online and they said babies should eat 2-2.5oz for every pound, so if he’s 10lbs, he should be taking in around 20-25oz each day. But he’s averaging 1100ml (37oz), the amount recommended for 6-month olds. So, should I try to give him less (and follow a feeding schedule) or should I still continue on with this “on-demand” feeding?

I also start to wonder if I am doing something wrong. He was able to sleep 4-5 hours straight last week when we were in Toronto, but as soon as we got back, he’s back to wake-every-2-hours. Does he not like his bed? Or was it a mistake going to Toronto, where he slept in his bassinet next to me the entire week…

    Hey Kathy,….

Seems like your little chou-chou is eating well! What you read on the internet is in general… remember every kid is different…. they say babies should start solids at 6 months… but we started Cam with solids when he was about 4 months and by 6 months he has 2 solids meals each day, talk about a little piggy…. (that’s in addition to 5 bottles of milk a day).
About sleeping, what we found with Cam is that he tends to sleep better in an air conditioned room. So that may be a factor.
    Anyway, have fun!
