Heartbeat and a Vacation
Jason, mom and I went to see Dr. Kalyanpur yesterday and for the first time, I hear the little heartbeat inside my tummy. I’ve heard these heartbeats before while practicing at the maternity ward at Richmond General. But this time, it’s different, it’s my baby’s heartbeat! It’s so surreal! I mean, for the past few months I knew we’re having a baby, but I didn’t really feel “truly pregnant”, despite the missing period and the continuous morning sicknesses, oh and the swelling belly. But now, listening to the heartbeat, yup, there is definitely a baby inside my belly! Ultrasound in 2 weeks…can’t wait!
Jason left for his Bahamas business trip last night and I got the whole bed to myself. In a way, I am very happy that he got to spend some “alone” time before the baby, but I am also very upset and angry that I have to stay home. I really do need to get away…I need a vacation…
